crazyness

While reading blogs from travelling friends, who are in warm California or beautiful Mechelen in Belgium, I cam across this sentence on leslie's blog:http://lesliejanemoran.blogspot.com/
"There is a very fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness.' I think there is another aspect to this crazyness, it is that of becoming a shop aholic that needs all the gadgets to sustain the mental illness that is called hobby ! I have been procrastinating and have not done a thing. I must start again..... (and I don't mean go shopping!)

There are so many days when I wish you were here! You'd understand everything. I must learn Dutch. I am missing doing things here as well. Touring is wonderful, but I also like to do things with my hands. Start something for me!

We'll have to go back together some time soon. Belgian is funny Dutch, sort of simplified. The Belgians are for the Dutch what the Newfies are for canada. hahaha Happy to teach you. For starters: tot ziens. Now go figure out what that means :)

This is the crazy thing about Belgium. If I'm here, in Herent (Brabant) I say "Houdoe". If I'm 10 minutes away in Brussels I say "Salukes". It's still all Dutch to me :) Yes, we shall make a trip some time. I was hoping for Barcelona though :)
