Tassle
This turned out to be such a nice whispy necklace with rose quartz beads, silver and bronze and an antique thimble.

FINALLY
Well, finally the tide has turned. John is starting a new job next week for Boart Longyear, a large mining company. It has been a difficult time and I am so happy for him! (and they also mine diamonds... ) Hmm, haven't worked with those yet. :)

fusing silver
I just love fusing silver. It is time consuming and often hard on my back becuase of position. but the results are so great. Wire, a mandrel, torch and water, then hammering and then the tumbler. Voila!
New website
Here is the link to Susan Lenart Kazmir's new website on Ice resin: http://www.iceresin.com/
It is kind of cool with tips and information about how to use her resin, a gallery, information about a new CD, etc.
Check it out!

Jasper and copper
Jasper is my favourite stone. There are so many different kinds of jasper, in different colours and with strong patterns. I bought this stone yesterday and just had to use it right away. It works well with copper. I don't use copper too much, I tend to work with silver but this one was fun to make. It gave me lots of time to contemplate the interview John had. He will be interviewed again in the US next week Wednesday for an entire day.... More postive thoughts required. So far so good.

Rememberance Day
Today is Rememberance day. And, ironically, yesterday was the launch day of an ultra violent computer game, so much so that upon launch, you can opt to play a less upsetting version which blocks some of the very grafic details. I don't know about you but I am amazed that games such as these are even allowed. For someone to want to play such games that apparently resemble the atmosphere and true gruesome nature of the battlefield, is something I cannot comprehend. Are these loving parents, people who believe Canada should withdraw from Afganistan, who attend rembemberance day celebrations etc? I know it is a game, but how anyone can spend valuable time enjoying such a violent game is beyond me. Rememberance day is a day for us to think about these things...... It is a serious matter.

Stick it!
I love stick pearls. These are ivory coloured and when you add some swarovski, some silver and some chrystal quartz, you get some neat results!

Farewell dinner
Tonight was the farewell dinner of my boss of the past 5 years. He is an amazing person with respect for all people he interacts with and there never seems to be any politics or any power struggles. Kind, soft spoken, friendly and yet a great mentor from who I have learned a great deal. Trule a remarkable individual who, I hope, will now enjoy his retirement. While sad he is not my boss anymore I am happy that he gets to enjoy his retirment and his family!

Fight
We all have had our share of fights, I am sure. However, have you ever had a fight that was fun? Well, I did. Lats night we took Zoe and her friends to laserquest for a laser beam fight. It is too funny. You get loaded up with gear and a laser gun and you aim the beam at someone else's laser target. Chest, back or shoulder. When you hit the target you temporarily deactivate them and can run away in the maze.... You score points for each hit. Let's just say I got hit many times and one group of kids decided that I was the best target to win as I was less than efficient in my attempts! What fun. Maybe all fights should be this way and the world would be a better place. Most of all, it would give us a good laugh!

Ottawa
I just came back from yet another, albeit short, trip. This time it was Ottawa. Zoe is better and went back to school today so that made me feel better. I enjoyed a lovely dinner with a friend and enjoyed the conference I attended. Life is just so busy. I may just have 5-10 pieces to sell at the sale!
