Photoshop exercise

I have been playing with photoshop and Nancy has been so kind to help me each time when I am stumped! I loved her photograph of the 4 sunsets. She sent me her sample to show my how she did this. Here is my little homework project!

One of my favourite jewelry artists is Diana Frey. Her works is very creative and beautiful. And on top of that she is the kindest person! The new Belle Armoire Jewelry issue has an article about and with work from Diana. Take a look in the magazine if you can.

Lack of Time

As always, my time is at a premium. Yet, there are so many great things to remember and looking at some of my pictures while I was taking a break from my homework, I came across this amazing clock in Tuscany. It brought back memories of a very wonderful trip.

 Time, valuable, at a premium, so, ......, remember and enjoy all the good times you have in life.

Old Barn

Today I drove to Barrie and on the way I saw this old barn. They intrigue me... I always wonder what antiques or treasures might be in there. I am playing with Photoshop Elements and managed to spruce this up a bit!

Ok, we're ready to go somewhere sunny, so we booked a trip to Maui!. We have been there a number of times and decided we needed to go again.... Yippee! Maybe I'll bring some cord to try Nancy's new way of Viking knit!

1. Digital Expressions by Susan Tuttle. A great book about how to use Photoshop Elements in Art. Sorry, the look inside link doesn't work here......

2. Canvas Remix by Alisa Burke. This book covers a variety of media to explore. Fun!

3. Metal Artist's Workbench by Thomas Mann. This is an excellent source for metal work, either for jewelry or for objects, whatever you fancy!

4. Wire Art Jewelry by Sharilyn Miller. My first jewelry making class was with Sharilyn Miller, and look where it has led me to!

5. The Jewelry Artist by Kate McKinnon. Kate McKinnon is a very talented artist who excels in metal clay and in bead work. True eye candy! 

Considering that starting Tuesday I am back in school and all my time will be occupied with work and with studying, these types of books are the only "artsie" thing I will have a few minutes a day for!
